The Research Career Development Institute (CDI) for Psychiatry is a multi-faceted longitudinal training experience for young psychiatrists and PhD researchers interested in successful research careers in academic psychiatry. The CDI for Psychiatry includes a comprehensive program of career and skills self-assessment, individualized career goal setting, a four-day workshop, structured long-distance career mentoring and goal tracking, webinars (online meetings) and tutorials, and a multi-tiered program evaluation.

HOW TO APPLY
- All completed application materials, including letters of recommendation, must be received by December 23, 2024. Only complete applications received by the deadline will be considered for acceptance.
- Please be aware that you will need to attach the following materials (Word or PDF file format) in order to complete this application:
- One letter of recommendation
- One-page personal statement
- Curriculum Vitae - Your progress on the 2025 CDI Application is saved automatically each time you progress to a new page, and you can access an in-progress application at any time. - Once you submit your application, you will receive a notification.
- Acceptance decisions will be sent to all applicants by January 17th, 2025.
Please note: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
Applicants who are accepted to participate in the CDI will receive an expense-paid trip to Pittsburgh, PA, sponsored in part by the National Institute of Mental Health (R25MH090947), the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Pittsburgh, and the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences of Stanford University.
